Job summary

MAHSA in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Software / Web Developer to design, develop, implement, and maintain our websites, web applications, and CMS platforms. The role involves system analysis, API integration, cybersecurity, database management, and leading web development projects.

Responsibilities include building responsive sites, managing WordPress/WooCommerce, integrating payment gateways, administering databases and hosting, ensuring security and performance, and mentoring junior developers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, software engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of software and web application development experience.
• Proficient in WordPress CMS and WooCommerce management.
• Experience with API integration, payment gateways, hosting, and server administration.
• Knowledge of web security and secure coding practices.
• Good communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Software / Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's websites, web applications, and CMS platforms. The role includes system analysis, API integration, cybersecurity, database management, and leading web development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain responsive websites and web applications.
• Develop and maintain CMS platforms such as WordPress, including custom themes, plugins, and content management.
• Develop e-commerce websites using WooCommerce or similar platforms.
• Integrate third-party APIs including iPay88, Stripe, PayPal, FPX, DuitNow, Microsoft Graph, and other RESTful APIs.
• Design and manage databases such as MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Administer web servers, hosting environments, cPanel, SSL certificates, backups, and website migrations.
• Implement website security best practices, including vulnerability management, SSL, WAF, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Gather user requirements, prepare technical documentation, conduct UAT, and provide user support.
• Ensure website performance, SEO optimization, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager implementation.
• Lead development projects, mentor junior developers, and coordinate with users and vendors to deliver projects on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in software and web application development.
• Strong experience in WordPress CMS, WooCommerce, and website management.
• Experience with API integration, payment gateways, web hosting, and server administration.
• Knowledge of web security, secure coding practices, and cybersecurity principles.
