Job summary

Eagle Wireless Engineering Centre Sdn Bhd in Penang Island seeks a Software Test Tool & Web Development Engineer to join our R&D team. You will develop automated testing tools, analyze requirements, and help design an internal testing cluster to boost efficiency.

Required: at least 4 years in test tooling and web development, strong C/Java, and familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, Python, GitHub, Gerrit and JIRA. Proficient English; Mandarin a plus.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in C/Java; familiarity with Docker is preferred.

Software Test Tool & Web Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop automated testing tools and scripts to boost testing efficiency.
2. Analyze internal requirements, research testing technologies, formulate and continuously optimize automated testing solutions to improve testing efficiency.
3. Participate in the design of the automated testing cluster, daily maintenance of testing tools, and the development of the internal automated testing platform of the Software Test Department.
4. Complete other work tasks assigned by superiors.

Work Experience & Competencies:

• Preferably with prior work experience in R&D centre.
• Prior work experience in Test-Tooling and Web-Development domain.
• Focus on Automated Testing Platform development. Solid foundation in C/Java; familiarity with Docker is preferred.
• Proficient in Jenkins for automated build and skilled in Python.
• Knowledge of GitHub, Gerrit, JIRA systems is preferred.
• Experience in developing test-tool to control test‑measurement equipments such as oscilloscopes, power meters, power supplies, multimeters, network simulators, test‑chambers, etc.
• Knowledge and/or experience in cellular network technologies will be considered as a plus.
• At least 4 years of test tool and web development hands‑on experience.
• Candidate must be Malaysian citizen.
• Possess a ‘can‑do attitude’, embrace challenges, growth mindset and able to handle some ambiguities.
• Able to commit overtime as necessary to meet work assignment deadlines.
• Flexible to travel for work assignments when necessary.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Education background:

At least a Bachelor's degree, Majors related to Communication, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Software Engineering and Electronic Engineering.
