Job summary

Beyondsoft seeks a Software Test/QA Tester in Subang Jaya to perform manual testing, write test cases, and report defects. The role focuses on ensuring software quality through systematic test execution and clear defect documentation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape testing strategies, document results, and support timely delivery. A Diploma/degree in CS/IT/SE and at least 1 year in QA are expected; Jira experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in CS/IT/SE or related field.
• At least 1 year of software testing or QA experience.
• Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC.
• Experience with bug tracking and test case management tools (e.g., Jira).
• Good communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze software/hardware/firmware requirements for feasibility.
• Submit bug reports and track progress and outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for test plan creation and execution, test case writing, and test report output
• Analyse software, hardware, or firmware requirements to determine feasibility within time and cost constraints.
• Prepare and submit bug reports on progress and testing outcome.
• Make sure that quality issues and bugs are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved.
• Perform manual testing – functional & non-functional testing
• Work closely with different teams for scoping/sizing after clarifying requirements and create strategy and technical design for quality delivery
• Willing to work in Subang Jaya, Malaysia

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Good understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with manual testing methodologies, test case design, defect tracking, and bug reporting processes.
• Experience with bug and test case management tools, such as Jira or similar platforms.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments would be an added advantage.
