Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior QA Engineer / QA Tester to ensure software quality across the SDLC, working with BA, developers and product owners.

The role demands 5–8+ years of QA experience, strong manual testing and end-to-end testing skills, and hands-on use of Jira/Azure DevOps/HP ALM, SQL, and API testing tools. This on-site Kuala Lumpur position offers exposure to complex digital platforms and agile environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
5-8+ years of experience in software QA/testing.
Hands-on experience in manual testing and end-to-end testing.
Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
Experience in functional, integration, regression, SIT, and UAT testing.
Defect lifecycle and test management.
Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or similar tools.
SQL and database validation.
Testing web-based and enterprise applications.
Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
Exposure to test automation using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
REST/SOAP API testing.
Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps testing practices.
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Exposure to performance, security, or mobile application testing is an advantage.
Experience with enterprise applications, system integrations, or complex digital platforms.

Responsibilities

Prepare and execute test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing.

Identify, document, track, and manage defects through to closure.
Perform root-cause analysis for application defects and issues.
Review business and functional requirements to ensure adequate test coverage.
Develop and maintain traceability between requirements and test cases.
Validate application functionality against agreed business requirements.
Perform regression testing following application enhancements and defect fixes.
Prepare test execution reports, defect reports, and testing evidence.
Work closely with developers and Business Analysts to investigate and resolve issues.
Support release validation and post-production testing.
Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and testing practices.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer / QA Tester with strong experience in software quality assurance, test planning, execution, defect management, and end-to-end testing.
