Job summary

Beyondsoft Malaysia is seeking a Software Test Engineer to ensure quality across Web and Mobile platforms. You will design test plans, create detailed test cases, and collaborate with developers to ensure issues are resolved before release.

Job description

The individual will take on Software Test Engineer position on ensuring software quality across different platforms (Web & Mobile) with various testing methodologies and method. This role is not to test solely based on what's given, and you will be the key contributing member to set the quality criteria and understand well the how and what sort of testing is to be done before release.

Key responsibilities

Analyze complex software systems and develop comprehensive test strategies to ensure functionality, reliability, and overall product quality

Understand customer needs and represent the customer perspective during product feedback and quality discussions

Develop customer-centric test scenarios that go beyond documented use cases to identify potential real-world issues and edge cases

Participate in release management activities, including pre-release validation and post-deployment testing

Utilize bug tracking and defect management tools to identify, prioritize, document, and monitor issues across multiple platforms

Design test plans, develop detailed test cases, and review functional requirements and technical documentation for platform-specific testing

Communicate testing progress, risks, and defects clearly with stakeholders and work collaboratively with development teams to ensure timely issue resolution

About you

College degree or above in computer-related majors (e.g., Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Information Management)

Fresh graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of relevant work experience are both acceptable

Proficient in operating Windows/macOS operating systems

Skilled in basic usage of Microsoft Office (including Excel for data organization and Word for document writing)

Strong awareness of self-directed learning; willingness to proactively explore testing-related technologies and tools; ability to quickly adapt to the team's work rhythm

Meticulous, responsible, and patient in completing repetitive testing tasks

Excellent communication and coordination skills, as well as strong problem-analysis capabilities

Good English reading and speaking skills; ability to understand technical documents or tool instructions
