Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of backend software QA, testing, and/or test automation experience in internet/tech/digital-services.

• Ability to map business logic and data flows, APIs, and backend modules.
• Experience with backend API testing and standard automation-testing workflows.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is required for collaboration.

Job description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to drive software quality and test automation for our business systems. You will translate business requirements into practical test coverage, build lightweight automation with Python, and work closely with Product and Engineering to support fast, reliable releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Own quality assurance and test automation for backend business systems. Build and continuously improve the testing approach in line with evolving business needs, and deliver testing activities efficiently to support stable releases.
• Map business logic, data flows, integrations, and end-to-end process flows across backend modules. Identify business pain points, process bottlenecks, and potential risks, and produce clear process-flow documentation and test plans.
• Develop and maintain Python-based automated test scripts and lightweight test tools. Continuously improve test efficiency and processes while reducing regression-testing effort.
• Participate in requirements and technical-design reviews, identify testability and quality risks early, and work with relevant teams to drive issues through resolution.
• Support the full delivery lifecycle and a fast release cadence, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Promptly report, track, and help resolve production issues.
• Partner closely with Engineering and Product teams, proactively coordinate dependencies and issues, and drive timely closure to enable smooth and efficient production releases.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above, with at least 5 years of experience in backend software QA, testing, and/or test automation in an internet, technology, or digital-services environment; hands-on experience across complete business-project delivery cycles is required.
• Working knowledge of Python fundamentals, with the ability to write simple test scripts and utilities for day-to-day testing and automation. Deep test-framework development expertise is not required.
• Strong business understanding, with the ability to analyze backend business modules under guidance and clearly map core business logic, APIs, and data flows.
• Strong ownership, reliability, attention to detail, and execution. Able to adapt quickly to changing business priorities and consistently drive assigned testing tasks to completion.
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple parallel priorities, including urgent releases and time-sensitive production troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with backend API testing and standard automation-testing workflows; comfortable with commonly used testing tools and basic database operations.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is required for effective collaboration with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and cross-regional teams.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential issues in business processes and software behavior and proactively drive them to closure.
