Job summary

Vision Technology Consulting is seeking a Software Test Analyst to design and execute test scenarios for telecom-related applications. You will collaborate with development teams to track defects and assure quality through the full STLC, from planning to execution.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Computer Science and have at least 3 years of software testing experience, with strong communication and analytical skills. Familiarity with ALM and test automation is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in computer science or related field.
• At least 3 years of software testing experience.
• Experience with full STLC (plan, cases, execution).
• Telecommunications industry testing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Familiar with defect tracking and test reporting.
• CTFL/CTAL and knowledge of TMMi are advantages.
• Experience with automation and ALM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop Test Scenarios/Cases/Scripts and execute these cases.
• Define the appropriate test to be carried out including test data.
• Participate in analysing/reviewing Test Cases prepared by other team members.
• Coordinate with development team on defect tracking and ensure effective communication.
• Update Test Lead regularly on testing progress, challenges and risks.
• Run diagnostics, perform system testing and present results to stakeholders.
• Review and improve existing test procedures.
• Understand industry standards and protocols in testing.
• Ensure all testing documentation and processes are followed.
• Grow knowledge of business applications and user needs.

SOFTWARE TEST ANALYST

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop Test Scenarios/Cases/Scripts and executing these cases
• Defining the appropriate test to be carried out including the test data to be used.
• Participate in analysing/reviewing Test Cases prepared by other team members
• Interacting with , coordinating and work closely with all related parties, especially the development team on Defect Tracking & Management, to ensure that effective communication takes place
• Communicate & update Test Lead regularly on testing activities progress, challenges and risks
• Running diagnostic, perform system testing and presenting the information to the relevant stakeholders
• Review and recommend improvements to existing test procedures
• Understanding and implementing industry standards and protocols
• Ensure all required testing documentation & processes are being adhere to
• Improving knowledge of business applications and user needs and expectations
• Stay up-to-date on the latest testing tools, test strategies and testing best practices

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Disciplines or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of software testing experience
• Experience in the full Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) such as Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Scenarios and Test Execution, etc
• Experience in Telecommunication Industry performing end-to-end system testing
• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams towards mutual success
• General experience with all aspects of software testing methodology
• Great communication skills with good analytical and critical thinking skills
• Good presentation skills
• Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset
• Able to follow up with external teams to drive action items to completion
• Self-confidence and experience in client-facing role
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Added advantage with Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) / Certified Tester Advanced Level (CTAL) certification
• Added advantage with understanding of TMMi Framework
• Added advantage with experiences in Micro Focus ALM
• Added advantage with good knowledge on Automation
