What You'll Do
You'll be a key part of our quality assurance team. Your job is to make sure the software we build is reliable, functional, and performs well.
You'll work closely with developers, project managers, and other teams. Together, you'll design, build, and run automated and manual test scripts. This role reports to the development QA lead.
Test Planning and Strategy
- Work with stakeholders to understand project requirements and build test plans
- Define test strategy and scope. This covers test objectives, environments, test cases, and test data
Test Automation
- Build, maintain, and improve automated test scripts using Selenium
- Automate functional, regression, performance, and smoke testing for web applications
- Automate test environment deployment when needed
Test Execution
- Run automated and manual tests. Analyze results, categorize defects, and report them
- Monitor and manage test environments and configurations
- Run API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured
Test Data Management
- Build and maintain test data sets
- Keep data consistent and isolated across test environments
Documentation
- Document test cases, scripts, and results
- Maintain clear records of testing processes and procedures
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members
- Keep stakeholders updated on test progress, results, and open issues
Performance Testing
- Run performance tests and analyze how the system holds up under different loads
- Spot bottlenecks and suggest fixes
Best Practices
- Stay current on test automation trends
- Champion best practices across the team
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in automated software testing
- Strong hands‑on experience with Selenium
- Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow
- Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Docker
- Comfortable with Git
- Sharp problem‑solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Great communication and collaboration skills
- Solid grounding in agile methodologies
Education & Certification
- Bachelor's or associate degree in an IT‑related field
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus
