Job summary

ISI Emerging Markets Group invites a .NET Software Engineer to join the team in Kuala Lumpur. You will translate functional requirements into technical specs, produce documentation for engineers, and contribute to delivery planning with sizing and estimation.

You’ll help ensure code quality through reviews and testing strategies, building robust, scalable solutions. You will work with a Scrum team to deliver correct, performant code on schedule, and support ongoing improvement through defect

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Software Engineering with strong computing background.
• 3+ years of Object Oriented programming with at least 2+ years in C#.
• Solid experience with MySQL, AWS Aurora and MongoDB.
• Experience in WPF + MVVM, ASP.NET MVC4+, Web and RESTful API, .NET 8/10, and gRPC.

Responsibilities

• Define, refine, develop, test and deliver against functional requirements.
• Translate functional requirements into technical requirements and create technical docs.
• Provide technical input to the project delivery plan including sizing and estimation.
• Ensure code quality, perform reviews, and support testing strategies.
• Develop and maintain test automation and ensure defect closure and root cause analysis.

Job description

This role involves working closely with the Business Analyst to define, refine, develop, test and deliver against functional requirements. You will understand and translate functional requirements into technical requirements, develop technical documentation for internal or external consumption, and provide technical input to the project delivery plan including sizing and estimation. You will be accountable for the quality of the scrum team and support through code review processes and testing strategies.

Key responsibilities

Works closely with the Business Analyst to define, refine, develop, test and deliver against functional requirements

Understands and translates functional into technical requirements

Develops technical documentation for internal or external consumption for engineers of varying skill level

Provides technical input to the project delivery plan, including sizing and estimation

Being accountable for the quality of the scrum team and supporting through code review processes and testing strategies

Implements correct, performant and reliable code on schedule and according to specification

Determines code quality and test coverage, and designing and implementing tests to make sure software is built to the highest quality possible

Develops and maintains test automation efficiency and effectiveness

Responsible for defect closure and root cause analysis to avoid regressions

Drives continual improvement in quality and efficiency, including defect prevention/root cause analysis, suggesting and adopting improvements to technology and efficiency

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Software Engineering with strong computing background

Object Oriented programming experience: 3+ years with at least 2+ years in C#

Solid experience in databases such as MySQL, AWS Aurora and MongoDB

Experience in WiX Toolset, DotNetInstaller, NetOffice, VSTO

Experience in Data Engineering / Data Pipelines / Data processing streaming technologies

Experience in WPF + MVVM development

Experience in ASP.NET MVC4 or above, both Web and RESTful API

Experience in .NET 8/10, cross platform projects. Experience in dotnet framework 4.8 would be an added advantage

Experience in WCF web service, OData service, gRPC development
