Job summary

techstreet is seeking a Software Engineer (Mendix Low-code) to develop innovative solutions for global clients. This role involves low-code development, training in Mendix, and working on-site with international travel as needed.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 1–5 years of software development experience, and strong English and Japanese communication skills (N2). Scrum/Agile experience is preferred.

Software Engineer (Mendix Low-code) - Japanese Speaker

You will be responsible for developing innovative systems that help our customers compete on the global market using the Mendix. You will receive training to upgrade your skills from traditional coding to low-code. Growth opportunities include paths towards consultancy and management positions. Projects are generally executed on-site at the customer and international travel will be required for this position.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the Mendix Low-Code Development Platform to craft innovative applications tailored to client needs.

Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups to ensure project alignment and progress.

Define comprehensive functional and technical software requirements to ensure clarity and alignment with project objectives.

Conduct rigorous testing and provide ongoing maintenance for applications to uphold performance and reliability standards.

Cultivate deep insights into clients' businesses and industries, leveraging this understanding to identify and capitalize on new opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Foster strong client relationships through clear and effective communication, collaborating closely with both clients and superiors to achieve project success.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in software development and propose innovative solutions to improve our products and processes.

About you

Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably in Software Engineering or Business IT management

Between 1 and 5 years of experience in software development

Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese (N2)

Experience with Scrum / Agile development methods

Interested in working with Low-code technology (training will be provided)

Strong sense of responsibility and ownership

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Independent and punctual for any appointments
