Job summary

Glints is seeking a Software Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to expand their R&D team, focusing on Java backend development and cloud-native design to support customers’ business processes. Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development experience with Java backend/server development.
• Experience building and maintaining applications that integrate multiple systems.
• Strong background in Linux development environments.
• Experience with Cloud-hosted CI/CD builds like Jenkins.
• Experience with SQL and database development.
• Proficiency in Java 8 functional style programming using Spring Framework, Kafka Streams, and OpenAPI.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployment toolchains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Java applications.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Ensure code quality and maintainability through code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Monitor system performance and Observability using Cloud Native standards and toolsets.

Key Qualifications:

• 2+ years of software development experience mostly working in Java as a backend or Server developer.
• Can build & maintain applications that integrate multiple disparate computing elements/systems.
• A strong background with development in a Linux environment.
• Experience with Cloud-hosted CI / CD builds trains like Jenkins.
• Experience with SQL and or database software development.
• Experience with Java 8 functional style programming using Spring Framework, Kafka Streams, and OpenAPI.
• Experience with Docker and K8s deployment architectures & toolsets.
