Job summary

Sarawak Information Systems Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Software Engineer to design and develop analytics, AI, and data solutions that drive business outcomes.

You will work across analytics tools, data warehouses, and dashboards, addressing recurring issues and improving software quality. You will collaborate with customers, PMs, analysts, and developers to ensure timely feedback and project progress, while researching ML topics and proposing innovative tech strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with SDLC, strong programming and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with data analytics, AI/ML, data warehousing, and cloud/big data technologies.
• Analytical and curious; drive to explore new tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software systems including analytics tools, data warehouses, big data platforms, and dashboards
• Identify recurring issues, improve system performance, and establish SOPs to enhance software quality
• Build and implement data analytics and AI solutions tailored to project requirements
• Carry out research in data science, ML algorithms, or emerging technologies
• Prepare documentation for design and research activities, mock-ups, proposals, and presentations
• Work with customers, PMs, analysts, and developers to ensure timely feedback and progress tracking
• Propose innovative tech solutions and strategies to solve business challenges and support digital transformation
• Keep up with latest technology trends and take on related tasks as assigned by SAINS Management

Carry out research in areas such as data science, machine learning algorithms, or emerging technologies based on project needs

Prepare documentation for design and research activities, mock-ups, technical proposals, and presentation materials

Work closely with customers, project managers, analysts, and developers to ensure timely feedback, smooth integration, and progress tracking

Propose innovative tech solutions and strategies to solve business challenges and support digital transformation

Keep up with the latest technology trends and take on other related tasks as assigned by SAINS Management

About you

Bachelor's Degree holder in Computer Science or a related field

Experienced in software development lifecycle (SDLC), with strong programming and problem-solving skills

Familiar with data analytics, AI/ML, data warehousing, and cloud or big data technologies

Analytical and curious, with a drive to explore new tools and technologies

Detail-oriented with good time management and creative problem-solving abilities

Strong communicator who thrives in both independent and collaborative environments

Adaptable, accountable, and committed to innovation and continuous improvement
