Job summary

Esri Malaysia is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and React JS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable software that meets business needs and quality standards.

You will translate requirements into clean, secure, and maintainable solutions, develop RESTful APIs and web services, and document deployments and technical details for future reference.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Experience with C#, .NET technologies, and React JS.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and SDLC.
• Experience with ASP.NET, Web API, Entity Framework, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is a plus.
• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, Jira, and related tools.

About the Role

The Software Engineer responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, and supporting software applications using C#, .NET, and React JS. Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-friendly software solutions that meet business needs and quality standards.

Here’s what a typical day will look like:

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, React JS, and related front-end and back-end technologies.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into clean, scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, web services, databases, user interfaces, and application components in line with project needs.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment notes, and knowledge-sharing materials for developed solutions.

About You

You are a passionate Software Engineer who enjoys building reliable and user-friendly applications. You have hands-on experience with C#, .NET, and React JS, and enjoy solving problems, learning new technologies, and working with a team to turn ideas into practical software solutions.

You will be successful if you have:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 to 5 Years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Practical experience developing applications using C#, .NET technologies, and React JS.
• Understanding object-oriented programming, software design principles, coding standards, and the software development life cycle.
• Experience with ASP.NET, Web API, Entity Framework, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end development practices is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with source control, build and deployment workflows, and tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.
• Ability to analyse problems, debug issues, and deliver practical technical solutions across front-end and back-end application layers.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and commitment to delivering high-quality software.
• Ability to manage tasks, estimate effort, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
