Job summary

Puncak AI is seeking a skilled Senior Full-Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications. You will work across front-end and back-end layers, creating robust APIs and cloud-ready services.

Join a collaborative team in Petaling Jaya, implementing cloud-native practices on Azure/AWS/GCP, participating in DevOps, code reviews, and architecture discussions to deliver secure, high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, software engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on full-stack development experience.
• Proven enterprise web/cloud-based app development experience.
• Proficient in Node.js, Java or Python back-ends.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum and cross-functional teams.
• Git and source control experience; cloud platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain full-stack web applications.
• Develop back-end services, APIs and microservices.
• Integrate apps with databases, third-party systems, APIs and cloud services.
• Translate requirements into practical technical designs and components.
• Deploy on Azure, AWS or GCP following architecture and security standards.
• Apply cloud-native principles: containers, microservices, scalability and resilience.
• Participate in DevOps: CI/CD, release automation, version control, deployments.
• Write clean, documented code following secure coding practices.
• Conduct testing and resolve defects; optimize performance and security.
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, UI/UX, PMs and other developers.
• Engage in sprint planning, code reviews, UAT and production deployment.
• Provide technical recommendations and contribute to architecture decisions.

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain full-stack web applications that are scalable, secure, reliable and aligned with approved business requirements.
• Develop robust back-end services, APIs and microservices using suitable technologies such as Node.js, Java, Python or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrate applications with relational or NoSQL databases, third-party systems, APIs and cloud services to support end-to-end business processes.
• Translate business and functional requirements into practical technical designs, reusable application components and maintainable software solutions.
• Develop and deploy applications on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform in accordance with approved architecture and security standards.
• Apply cloud-native development principles, including containerisation, microservices, scalability, availability and resilience.
• Participate in DevOps activities, including CI/CD pipeline implementation, release automation, version control and deployment support.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code in accordance with approved coding standards, secure development practices and software engineering best practices.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, debugging and defect resolution to ensure application quality, stability and performance.
• Identify and resolve application defects, performance bottlenecks, integration issues and potential security vulnerabilities.
• Work closely with business analysts, solution architects, UI/UX designers, project managers, product owners and other developers throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Participate in requirement gathering, technical design discussions, sprint planning, code reviews, user acceptance testing and production deployment activities.
• Provide practical technical recommendations and contribute to application architecture decisions within the scope of assigned solutions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, development trends and cloud-native practices relevant to the organisation’s digital solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, coding standards, documentation, knowledge sharing and engineering practices within the technology team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in full-stack software development.
• Proven experience developing enterprise web applications, cloud-based applications or similar digital solutions.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments, including sprint planning, iterative delivery and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in back-end technologies such as Node.js, Java, Python or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, API integration, relational or NoSQL databases, Git and source code version control.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud is preferred.
