Job summary

Yinson GreenTech is seeking a Software Engineer to design and ship large-scale, real-time, event-driven applications powering our electrification initiatives. You will work in a fast, high-impact environment where your code goes live quickly and your ideas drive real-world outcomes.

You will join a team that values clean code, smart architecture, and rapid delivery, with collaboration across Agile teams and exposure to modern AI tools and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT or Computer Science.
• 1 to 3 years of hands-on development experience.
• Experience with real-time, event-driven systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python and NodeJS.
• Experience with AWS and cloud platforms.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with unit testing and Git.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design and ship large-scale, real-time, event-driven applications
• Design, maintain and support services using a microservices approach
• Build performant, cloud native platforms
• Own quality end to end — from secure coding and unit testing to code reviews
• Leverage modern AI tools and technologies to accelerate development, improve code quality, and solve complex problems faster
• Collaborate in Agile teams across the full software development lifecycle

Qualification and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT or Computer Science
• 1 to 3 years of hands‑on development experience in the IT/Software industry
• Strong programming skills in Python (including FastAPI and Django frameworks) and NodeJS, especially for real-time, event-driven systems
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases
• Experience building software on a microservices architecture
• Hands‑on experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Solid grasp of secure coding practices
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment
• Experience with unit testing (Pytest, Jest) and Git/BitBucket source control
• Familiarity with all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Great communication skills and a genuine team player attitude
• A curiosity for emerging AI tools and technologies, and an eagerness to apply them to real-world challenges in transportation electrification
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with code analysis tools (Bandit, SonarQube etc.)
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, etc.
