Job summary

Hong Leong Investment Bank Berhad (HLIB) is seeking an experienced .NET/.NET Core application developer to join its software team in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves system studies, design, development, testing, implementation, and on-going user support.

A strong SDLC background and hands-on experience with modern technologies are essential. Candidates should have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or IT and at least 5 years of relevant .NET experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in .NET or .NET Core application development.
• Any IT related certifications are a plus.
• Strong foundation in Object-Oriented / Functional Programming and SDLC.
• Proficient in Docker, Git, Unix, Python, Node.js, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Including systems studies, design, development, testing and implementation.
• Also provides users training and application support.
• Study existing manual or automated procedures to determine how automation may be implemented or enhanced.
• Prepare program specifications, flowcharts and program logic, taking maximum advantage of the existing data processing equipment.
• Code, test, debug and documentation.
• Liaise with users and data center staff as required to define needs and coordinate system implementation.
• Keep current application development theory and practice.
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation to endure conformance to departmental standards and procedures.
• Handle request for system service from users.
• Conduct training/seminars to users with information on enhancements, changes to system
• Provide on-site customer/user support during critical phases of implementation.
• Participate in efforts to analyze the usefulness of software enhancements and changes.
• Investigate and resolve user complaints/queries, report/program errors and job failures.
• Standby duty to investigate and apply fixes to problems that occurred during production run.
• Ensure that all procedures and projects are in compliance with audit requirements.
• Work with a team of software developers in design, implementation and support of major application systems or series of related systems.

Job Requirements

Possess Bachelor Degree or recognized professional qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or any equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in .net or .netcore application development.

Possess any IT related certifications will be a plus.

Strong foundation in Object-Oriented / Functional Programming and solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Proficient in Docker, Git, Unix, Python, Node.js, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
