We’re looking for a passionate and eager-to-learn SNOC Operations Center Analyst (L1) to join our Security and Network Operations Center (SNOC) team. The role involves monitoring infrastructure, network, and security alerts, performing initial triage and investigation, escalating incidents, and ensuring service availability and security operations are maintained effectively. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in networking, system monitoring, and cybersecurity operations within a 24/7 operational environment.
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Networking, Cybersecurity or a related field (or equivalent experience).
1–2 years of experience in a cybersecurity or SOC/NOC role.
Basic understanding of SOC operations, SIEM, cybersecurity concepts, and incident handling processes.
Familiar with networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, firewall, VPN, and common protocols.
Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Active Directory environments.
Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, antivirus, or ticketing systems is an advantage.
Familiar with tools such as PRTG, Zabbix, SolarWinds, FortiGate, Sophos, or other monitoring/firewall platforms.
Able to perform basic troubleshooting using ping, traceroute, nslookup, telnet, SSH, and web management access.
Good communication, analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills with attention to detail.
Willing to work in rotational shifts within a 24/7 operational environment.
Strong interest in learning and growing in the cybersecurity field.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CEH, CCNA, or equivalent is an advantage.
Monitor network, infrastructure, server, and security alerts using monitoring and SIEM platforms.
Perform initial alert triage, event correlation, and basic incident investigation.
Identify service disruptions, suspicious activities, and security incidents.
Escalate incidents to relevant internal teams or customers based on operational procedures and SLA requirements.
Monitor health and availability of network devices, servers, endpoints, and security systems.
Perform basic troubleshooting for connectivity, performance, and security-related issues.
Create, update, and maintain incident tickets, operational reports, and documentation.
Follow operational SOPs, escalation matrices, and incident handling procedures.
Support shift operations including weekends, public holidays, and after-hours monitoring.
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives for monitoring, alerting, and operational processes.
