Job summary

China Communications Construction Company (M) Sdn Bhd (Project Site Operations) in Klang, Selangor is seeking a site engineer with a Civil/Geotechnical background. You will oversee earthworks and subgrade preparation for railway track foundations, ensuring safety and quality on site.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Diploma in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, 1–2 years of relevant experience, and solid knowledge of soil mechanics, testing protocols, and earthwork machinery operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related technical certificate.
1–2 years of experience in earthworks, roadbed construction, highway construction, or railway subgrade works.
Knowledge of soil mechanics, geotechnical testing protocols, and standard earthwork machinery operations.
Physically fit for site environments and able to work under tight project schedules.
Good teamwork and ability to communicate technical instructions on site.

Responsibilities

Oversee structural earthworks, ground improvement works, slope stabilization, and subgrade/roadbed preparation for the rail track foundation.
Supervise site excavation, backfilling, compaction testing, and soil stabilization processes to ensure alignment with engineering designs.
Monitor settlement levels and coordinate with the surveying and laboratory teams for soil compaction and material compliance.
Resolve on-site technical difficulties related to drainage, soil conditions, and foundation stability.
Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and ensure all work meets the stringent quality and safety standards of the project.
