Job summary

China Communications Construction Company (M) Sdn Bhd (Project Site Operations) - Klang, Selangor is seeking a site engineer with a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering to lead earthworks and roadbed preparation on the rail track foundation.

You will oversee excavation, grading, testing, and ensure quality and safety on site, coordinate with surveying and laboratory teams, and communicate technical instructions clearly to the crew.

Qualifications

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related technical certificate.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in earthworks, roadbed construction, highway construction, or railway subgrade works.
Knowledge of soil mechanics, geotechnical testing protocols, and standard earthwork machinery operations.
Proactive, physically fit for site environments, and capable of working under tight project schedules.
Good teamwork skills and fluency in communicating technical instructions on site.

Responsibilities

Oversee structural earthworks, ground improvement works, slope stabilization, and subgrade/roadbed preparation for the rail track foundation.
Supervise site excavation, backfilling, compaction testing, and soil stabilization processes to ensure alignment with engineering designs.
Monitor settlement levels and coordinate with the surveying and laboratory teams for soil compaction and material compliance.
Resolve on-site technical difficulties related to drainage, soil conditions, and foundation stability.
Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and ensure all work meets the stringent quality and safety standards of the ECRL project.
