Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Site Supervisor for nationwide renovation oversight across Retail, F&B, and mall kiosks. You will monitor progress, inspect materials, liaise with mall management, and ensure timely grand openings while coordinating with contractors nationwide.

You should have 2–5 years of site supervision experience, a relevant diploma or higher, and proficiency in CAD drawings, with the ability to travel and work night shifts as needed. Fluency in Mandarin and Malay is required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of site supervision experience in Retail outlets, F&B outlets, or shopping mall kiosks.
• Diploma or higher in Interior Design, Construction Management, Architectural Studies, or related fields; candidates with SPM/High School plus 5+ years retail renovation experience are welcome.
• Proficiency in reading 2D CAD drawings, electrical layout plans, and carpentry detail drawings; familiarity with shopping mall overnight work regulations.
• Must possess own transport, willing to travel across Malaysia, and able to work night shifts during critical openings.
• Fluent in Mandarin and Malay, with basic English for communication with sub-contractors and mall management.
• High integrity, responsible, principled, excellent communication, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Nationwide site inspection: monitor renovation progress of new outlets across Malaysia, ensuring brand standards and drawings compliance.
• Quality & material control: verify brand, specs, and quality of materials and inspect concealed works.
• Mall management & compliance: liaise with Mall/Building Management for permits, approvals, and fire safety compliance.
• Timeline & schedule management: track construction timelines and coordinate with contractors to avoid delays and ensure grand openings on time.
• Daily progress reporting: capture site photos/videos, maintain a simple log, and report to Headquarters.
• Handover & final inspection: assist Store Manager and HQ in inspections, draft Punch List, ensure timely contractor rectifications.

Responsibility

• Nationwide Site Inspection: Monitor and supervise the renovation progress of new outlets across Malaysia, ensuring compliance with brand standards and design drawings.
• Quality & Material Control: Verify the brand, specifications, and quality of incoming materials (e.g., laminates, lightings, flooring) to prevent substandard work, and conduct inspections for concealed works.
• Mall Management & Compliance: Act as the company representative to liaise with Mall Management/Building Management regarding renovation permits, submission approvals, and Bomba (fire safety) compliance.
• Timeline & Schedule Management: Closely track the construction timeline, coordinate with contractors to accelerate work in case of delays, and ensure on-time Grand Openings.
• Daily Progress Reporting: Capture daily photos/videos of the site, maintain a simple daily progress log, and report back to Headquarters.
• Handover & Final Inspection: Assist the Store Manager and HQ in final inspections, draft the Punch List (defect list), and monitor contractors for timely rectification.
