Job summary

Sai Asia Builders Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Site Supervisor to manage multiple renovation sites, coordinate subcontractors and materials, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality. You will liaise with customers and the office to maintain smooth project flow.

The role requires reading drawings, strong on-site problem solving, and the ability to travel between Sungai Petani and Penang.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience supervising renovation, interior fit-out or building works.
• Able to read layout plans and drawings.
• Strong at coordinating and managing subcontractors and solving problems on site.
• Organised enough to run several sites in one day.
• Good with customers, and able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia; English or other languages are an advantage.
• Able to use a smartphone for photos, daily reports and messaging.
• Own transport and a valid driving licence; willing to travel between Sungai Petani and Penang.

• Receive the handover from sales: scope, drawings, budget and payment phases.
• Visit the site and check measurements and conditions before work starts.
• Prepare a simple work schedule for each site and share it with the customer and the office.
• Arrange and schedule subcontractors for each trade so the work follows in the right order.
• Brief each subcontractor on the drawings and the scope before they start.
• Visit every active site regularly, planning the day across morning, afternoon and evening.
• Check workmanship against the drawings and get defects fixed before the next trade starts.
• Keep the sites safe, tidy and considerate of the customer's home and neighbours.
• Check at every visit that materials on site are enough for the next two to three days of work.
• Order materials early through the office so no site stops for lack of stock.
