Job summary

MEGA SEDAYA CONSTRUCTION SDN. BHD. is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to oversee daily safety operations at construction sites and ensure PPE compliance. The role involves investigating accidents, addressing safety concerns, and coordinating with management on safety initiatives.

Applicants should hold a DOSH/NIOSH/JKKP Yellow Book and have at least 2 years of OSH experience in construction, with strong communication and computer skills and willingness to travel or relocate.

Qualifications

• Possess at least a Professional Certificate or higher in safety/EHS or equivalent.
• Registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH/NIOSH/JKKP (Yellow Book) holder.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Occupational Safety & Health in construction.
• Willing to travel or relocate.
• Excellent communication, writing and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day activities within a construction workplace.
• Ensures workers use necessary protective equipment.
• Investigates accidents and addresses causes.
• Addresses workers' safety concerns promptly.
• Receives and acts on safety reports from workers.
• Acts as liaison between workers and top management on safety and organization.
• Carrying out project-based SSS responsibilities.

Job description

1) Supervises day-to-day activities within a particular construction workplace

2) Ensures that workers make use of necessary protective equipment

3) Investigates accidents and tackle their causes

4) Takes note of workers’ safety concerns and immediately acts on them

5) Receives and acts on reports regarding safety concerns from workers within the construction site/workplace

6) Serves as a link between workers and top management when it comes to issues that have to do with the safety and proper organization of the workplace

7) To carry out the responsibilities of project based SSS

8) Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.

9) A registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH/NIOSH/JKKP with Yellow Book holder

10) At least two (2) years’ experience in Occupational Safety & Health in construction Industry

11) Applicants must be willing to travel or relocate

12) Excellent communication skills, writing skills, computer literate and able to work under minimum supervision
