Job summary

Vipro Solutions Sdn Bhd seeks a Registered Safety & Health Officer to manage safety on site in Gelang Patah, Johor. You will ensure safe work procedures and regulatory compliance, and deliver safety briefings to workers and visitors.

Responsibilities include maintaining daily safety logs, assisting with HSE plan implementation, supervising site supervisors, conducting toolbox talks, inspecting hazards, and communicating hazards promptly to prevent incidents.

Qualifications

• Registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH/NIOSH/JKKP.
• Must have valid Yellow Book.
• Experience in safety management on construction sites or projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily safety log records.
• Assist with the implementation of HSE plan at project site.
• Assist with the supervision of site supervisors and ensure they understand and fulfil their HSE responsibilities.
• Recommend to supervisors on how to avoid worksite hazards.
• Conduct or coordinate daily site HSE inspections.
• Discuss potentially hazardous processes and operations with site supervisors, workers, and visitors and obtain their cooperation in reducing them.
• Inform the safety officer in writing of imminent hazards at the worksite by maintaining a weekly report.
• Conduct periodical Toolbox meetings with the safety officer, Engineers, and Supervisors.
• Periodically inspect hazards, incidents and injury reports and take appropriate action to achieve safe working culture and prevent recurrences.
• Inform others of possible hazards by distribution and circulation of safety information and appropriate publicity.]
