Job summary

Sime in Malaysia seeks an experienced HSE professional to oversee daily safety practices and ensure compliance with local regulations. You will Support the Safety and Health Officer in delivering inductions, toolbox talks, audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.

The role involves developing Site-Specific Procedures, enforcing policy, supervising PPE readiness, and reporting unsafe conditions to management.

Qualifications

• Regularly supervise safety to ensure safe work practices.
• Support SHO in delivering safety inductions, safety briefings, and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
• Participate in scheduled safety meetings as required by management or client obligations.
• Assist in implementing safety surveillance programmes per the HSE rollout plan.
• Participate in internal and external HSE audits and support corrective actions.
• Report, evaluate, and investigate all work-related incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Assist SHO in accident investigations and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Support OSHMS policies, procedures, and standards communication and implementation.
• Assist in developing Site-Specific Procedures (SSPs) to enhance workplace safety.
• Support management in revising HSE policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
• Enforce compliance with company HSE policies and statutory requirements.
• Verify employees and contractors possess required safety certifications, training, and PPE.

Responsibilities
