Job summary

AME Construction Malaysia is seeking an on-site HSE Assistant to support the HSE Officer/Manager in implementing the HSEMS on site. The role includes safety promotion, audits, meetings, toolbox talks and training, with reporting and records management.

You will assist in investigations, liaise with authorities/clients on HSE matters, monitor HSE data across sites, and may act as Secretary of the Safety & Health Committee when the HSE Officer is absent.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related discipline, or management plus with certificate of safety and health officer organized by NIOSH or other DOSH recognized institution.
• Registered with DOSH as Site Safety Supervisor.
• Minimum one year experience in safety and health matters.

Responsibilities

• Assist HSE Officer/Manager in implementing HSEMS on site (safety promotion, safety audits, organizing meetings, toolbox talks and safety training, reports and records).
• Assist investigations on all incidents and accidents and maintain necessary records.
• Liaise with authorities and clients on HSE matters on site.
• Collect and collate data to monitor HSE status of each site.
• Serve as Secretary of Safety & Health Committee in the absence of the HSE Officer.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by Management.

• To collect and collate data to monitor the status of HSE of each site.
• To be Secretary of Safety & Health Committee (in the absent of HSE Officer).
• To perform any other ad hoc duties that may be assigned by the Management.

What You Bring

• At least Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or other discipline, or management plus with certificate of safety and health officer organized by NIOSH or other education institution recognized by DOSH.
• Registered with DOSH as Site Safety Supervisor
• Minimum one (1) year experience with safety and health matters.
