Job summary

VELOWORKS SDN BHD is seeking a competent Site Safety Supervisor to monitor and enforce safety standards on site in Malaysia. The role requires auditing, risk assessment, and conducting safety training for staff, with travel/relocation to site locations as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a DOSH-registered SSS, a degree in safety-related fields, and at least 2 years of construction safety experience, with strong communication and independent work abilities.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science or equivalent disciplines.
• Registered competent Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with DOSH and must have a valid Yellow Book.
• Min 2 years in safety awareness management, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, CIDB regulations and best practices in construction safety.

Responsibilities

• Audit production to identify unsafe behaviour or breaches of regulations.
• Assess risks and hazards across operations.
• Conduct daily and scheduled site safety inspections of activities, tools, and equipment.
• Create analytical reports of safety data.
• Inspect production equipment and processes for safety.
• Present safety principles in staff meetings or trainings.
• Assist Project Manager in scheduling, execution, documentation and tracking of projects until completion.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• a) Auditing production, keeping on the lookout for any unsafe behaviour or breaches of regulations.
• b) Assessing risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations.
• c) Carrying out daily and scheduled site safety inspection/observation on all work activities, tools, and equipment to be used at the site.
• d) Creating analytical reports of safety data.
• e) Inspecting production equipment and processes to make sure they are safe.
• f) Presenting safety principles to staff in meetings or lecture-type training sessions.
• g) Assist PM in project scheduling, execution, documentation, and tracking of all ongoing projects until completion.
