Job summary

Trio-Tech (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Lead on-site SLT operations to manage engineers and supervisors at the customer site in Penang. The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced semiconductor environment and a strong focus on performance metrics and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years in semiconductor operations, with at least 2 years in supervision. Immediate availability or short notice is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment, testing or production operations.
• At least 2 years of experience supervising Engineers, Supervisors or technical teams.
• Experience in semiconductor back-end testing or System Level Test operations is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of production KPIs, equipment performance, manpower management and customer-service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for daily operations at the customer’s site.
• Lead and supervise the assigned Engineers, Supervisors and Technicians.
• Serve as the first-level contact between TTM and the customer for all operational matters.
• Maintain close communication with the customer and ensure issues are acknowledged and addressed promptly.
• Manage daily manpower deployment, attendance, discipline, shift coverage and operational readiness.
• Monitor key performance indicators, including availability loss, 100% fail, disconnect, productivity and equipment downtime.
• Lead daily performance reviews, root-cause analysis and corrective-action follow-up.
• Ensure Engineers and Supervisors provide effective technical and operational support to the production team.
• Develop recovery plans for performance gaps and ensure actions are completed within the agreed timeline.
• Manage technician training, competency certification, retention and performance improvement.
• Escalate critical issues to TTM management and the customer with clear impact assessment and recovery actions.
• Prepare and present daily, weekly and monthly operational performance reports.
• Support production ramps, new product introductions and additional customer requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in service quality, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment, testing or production operations.

At least 2 years of experience supervising Engineers, Supervisors or technical teams.

Experience in semiconductor back-end testing or System Level Test operations is strongly preferred.

Good understanding of production KPIs, equipment performance, manpower management and customer-service requirements.

Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Able to manage customer expectations and handle operational escalations professionally.

Hands-on, disciplined and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Able to analyse performance data and implement practical corrective actions.

Willing to be based full-time at the customer’s site in Penang.

Flexible to support urgent operational matters outside normal working hours when required.
