Job summary

Hirehub Group is seeking an experienced Lead Test Engineering professional to manage and advance the test engineering team in Senai, Johor. You will drive the complete test lifecycle from design to mass production, establishing robust test strategies and collaborating with R&D and customers to ensure readiness for new products.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in Test Engineering with leadership experience in EMS/PCBA manufacturing, with strength in NPI, ICT/FCT, and test automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 8+ years in Test Engineering with 3+ years in leadership/management in EMS/PCBA manufacturing.
• Strong experience in NPI, PCBA testing, ICT/FCT/Functional Test, test fixture/equipment/program development.
• Good understanding of DFT, test coverage, test yield, FPY, NTF, and cycle time improvements.
• Strong troubleshooting, failure analysis, root-cause analysis, problem solving.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing customer technical requirements.
• Project management, communication, and people management skills.
• Experience with test automation or programming is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, IPC, or Six Sigma is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Test Engineering team, including Engineers and Technicians, with responsibility for performance and resources.
• Own the test engineering lifecycle from Design, NPI, Pilot, Ramp-up, Mass Production to Sustaining.
• Define and implement overall test strategy, coverage, and requirements based on specs.
• Collaborate with customers and R&D to establish DFT requirements and test readiness for new products.
• Lead development, qualification, and implementation of ICT, FCT, Functional Test, Programming, Calibration solutions.
• Oversee test fixture, equipment, and program development, validation, and release.
• Drive test performance metrics: yield, FPY, NTF, cycle time, tester utilization.
• Lead failure analysis and corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in test processes, reliability, productivity, and cost.
• Manage test equipment, fixtures, suppliers, maintenance, calibration, and CAPEX.
• Act as Test Engineering interface with customers and support tech reviews/audits.
• Ensure transfer and sustainment of test solutions from NPI into mass production.

• Lead and manage the Test Engineering team, including Test Engineers and Test Technicians, with responsibility for team performance, resource planning, and technical development.

• Ensure effective transfer and sustainment of test solutions from NPI into stable mass production.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Test Engineering, preferably within an EMS / PCBA manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong experience in NPI, PCBA testing, ICT/FCT/Functional Test, test fixture, test equipment, and test program development.
• Good understanding of DFT, test coverage, test yield, FPY, NTF, and test cycle time improvement.
• Strong troubleshooting, failure analysis, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing customer technical requirements.
• Strong project management, communication, and people management skills.
• Experience with test automation or programming is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, IPC, or Six Sigma is an advantage.
