Job summary

Celestica Inc. is seeking a first-level Operations Engineering Manager to lead semi-skilled and entry-level personnel within a site. You will set annual objectives, oversee policies execution, and collaborate with design, software and site teams to ensure program success and compliance with budgets.

The role involves managing budgets, schedules, and performance, with responsibilities for hiring decisions and coaching for improvement. Strong internal/external relationships are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field (education/experience equivalent considered).
• Electrical or electronic engineering degree required or preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in test engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Issue the MTRS with coverage targets per insertion before test development starts.
• Agree reduced-scope EVT test with design, software and site and report coverage and first pass yield at EVT exit.
• Sign the Test Readiness Review before Build Authorisation.
• Own test limits/guardband method with design authority and control the limit file.
• Drive early-build debug to root cause within turnaround, and assign 8D closure.
• Verify station correlation, Gage R&R and parametric data capture before build.
• Track NPI-phase DPPM, first pass yield and test time against budget.
• Feed test escapes and coverage gaps back into the DFT rule set.
