Job summary

Nexperia in Malaysia seeks a strategic Senior Quality leader to build and guide the Backend Quality organization. You will set objectives and KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and resolve major quality issues with robust root-cause analysis.

You will oversee customer quality, audits, supplier quality, and QMS, partnering across functions to deliver excellence in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Materials Science, Electronics, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of leadership in semiconductor or high-volume electronics manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead a broad quality organization: Mfg, Supplier, Customer QA & QMS.
• Strong knowledge of 8D, 5 WHY, FMEA, SPC, root-cause analysis and CAPA.
• Experience with MRB, change management, and safe-launch activities.
• Proven track record in customer quality, audits, and supplier audits.
• Ability to build high-performing teams and manage major escalations.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.

Job description

What You Will Do

• Lead and develop the Backend Quality organization, setting clear objectives, KPIs, development plans, and succession strategies.
• Drive overall site quality performance and continuous improvement programs, including Zero Defect (ZD), 5S, and CIP.
• Lead the resolution of major quality issues and non-conformances through effective root-cause analysis, 8D, 3x5 WHY, containment, and corrective actions.
• Oversee customer quality and complaint resolution, ensuring timely and effective responses and supporting customer audits.
• Govern product, package, and process quality, including risk assessments, qualification plans, FMEA, Cpk requirements, VDA assessments, and quality deviations.
• Oversee quality requirements for new product/package introductions and process, equipment, and material changes, including safe-launch activities.
• Drive supplier quality performance, supplier improvement activities, quality agreements, and supplier audits.
• Ensure effective Quality Management Systems (QMS) and site audit planning and execution.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Development, Supply Chain, suppliers, customers, and Business Group Quality on key quality priorities and escalations.
• Manage the Quality organization’s budget and resources to support business and operational priorities.

What You Will Need

• Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Materials Science, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with strong leadership experience in semiconductor manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or another high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading a broad Quality organization covering areas such as Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, Customer Quality, Incoming/Outgoing Quality, and Quality Management Systems.
• Strong knowledge of quality and problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5 WHY, FMEA, SPC, root-cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and Cpk.
• Experience in non-conformance management, MRB, product/process qualification, change management, and safe-launch activities.
• Strong experience managing customer quality issues, customer audits, supplier quality, and supplier audits.
• Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams and manage major quality escalations.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills within an international and cross-functional environment.
