Job summary

Ideahome Development Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a responsible Site Engineer/Executive to support property development and construction projects. You will monitor progress, coordinate with contractors and consultants, ensure work quality and maintain project documentation.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or related field, with 2–3 years site experience, and proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD is a plus. Travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years site experience preferred.
• Familiar with construction methods, materials and drawings.
• Willing to travel between sites; own transport and valid driving licence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities and ensure progress according to the project schedule.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and other relevant parties.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Identify and resolve site issues, technical problems and construction delays.
• Update site progress reports to management.
• Review drawings and coordinate technical matters with consultants and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements, specifications and regulations.
• Maintain site records, photographs, inspection reports and project documentation.

The successful candidate will assist in monitoring construction progress, coordinating with contractors and consultants, ensuring work quality and maintaining project documentation to support the timely completion of projects.

Key responsibilities

Monitor daily construction activities and ensure work progresses according to the project schedule.

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and other relevant parties.

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

Assist in identifying and resolving site issues, technical problems and construction delays.

Update site progress reports to management regularly.

Review construction drawings and assist in coordinating technical matters with consultants and contractors.

Ensure construction activities comply with relevant safety requirements, project specifications and applicable regulations.

Maintain proper site records, photographs, inspection reports and project documentation.

Perform other duties related to project and site coordination as assigned by the management.

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology or a related field.

Candidates with 2–3 years of relevant site experience are preferred.

Familiar with construction methods, building materials and construction drawings.
