Job summary

Sunsuria Berhad in Malaysia seeks a Site Engineer to oversee infrastructure works across earthworks, roads, drainage, piping, sewerage, streetlighting and utilities, ensuring compliance with drawings and schedules. You will report to senior project staff, supervise contractors and consultants, review drawings and method statements, and provide technical solutions to on-site constraints.

This role requires coordinating interfaces with Data Centre and other large-scale development projects,

Responsibilities

• Report to SPM / PM / Superior(s) on overall infrastructure progress, key technical matters, site issues, risks and recommended actions.
• Manage and monitor master infrastructure works, including earthworks, roadworks, drainage, piping, sewerage, streetlighting, telco and underground utilities, in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and work programmes.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, nominated sub-contractors and consultants to ensure infrastructure works are implemented safely, efficiently and in accordance with the required quality standards.
• Review and coordinate infrastructure drawings, method statements, material submissions and technical proposals, and provide technical solutions to site issues and construction constraints.
• Monitor construction progress, quality and programme performance, identify potential delays or non-conformances, and drive timely rectification and resolution of outstanding site matters.
• Prepare and review technical reports, site memos, RFIs, NCRs, progress reports, meeting minutes, weekly project status updates and other project documentation, ensuring clear and accurate records are maintained.
• Coordinate infrastructure interfaces between different development phases, including Data Centre and other large-scale / mixed development projects, particularly external roads, drainage, piping and underground utility works.
• Lead and coordinate infrastructure matters when required, including liaising with consultants, contractors and authorities, providing recommendations to management, and performing any other duties as assigned from time to time.
