Job summary

Ann Joo Resources Berhad is seeking an Electrical Engineer / Site Engineer to supervise electrical construction and installation activities on site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, standards and client requirements.

You will coordinate with civil, mechanical, QA/QC, HSE, consultants, subcontractors and the client to ensure smooth project execution, review drawings, supervise installation works, and support testing and commissioning as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as Electrical Engineer / Site Engineer in large scale infrastructure projects.
• NTSP/RAA/GCQP holder is an added advantage.
• Experience in TNB projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all electrical construction and installation activities on site.
• Monitor daily site progress to achieve milestones within the approved schedule.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, QA/QC, HSE, consultants, subcontractors and client for smooth project execution.
• Review electrical drawings, SLD, cable schedules, method statements and technical specs prior to construction.
• Oversee electrical installation works and monitor subcontractor performance for workmanship and quality.
• Coordinate inspection and testing activities including insulation resistance, continuity, and protection relay tests.
• Support commissioning and energisation activities as per project procedures.
• Prepare inspection requests, checklists and as-built documentation to meet QA/QC requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly site progress reports.

Job description

Supervise and coordinate all electrical construction and installation activities on site. Ensure electrical works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

Monitor daily site progress and ensure project milestones are achieved within the approved schedule

Coordinate with civil, mechanical, QA/QC, HSE, consultants, subcontractors, and the client to ensure smooth project execution

Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), cable schedules, method statements, and technical specifications prior to construction

Supervise electrical installation works

Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure workmanship, productivity, and quality meet project requirements

Coordinate inspection and testing activities, including insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, cable testing, protection relay testing, and pre-commissioning works

Support commissioning activities and assist in energisation and grid synchronisation in accordance with project procedures

Ensure compliance with project QA/QC requirements by preparing inspection requests, checklists, and as-built documentation

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports

Monitor material deliveries, installation progress, and inventory to ensure timely project execution

About you

Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or its related field

1 year of experience as Electrical Engineer / Site Engineer in large scale infrastructure projects

NTSP/RAA/GCQP holder is an added advantage

Experience in TNB projects

Good communication and strong problem-solving skills

Good report writing skills

Willing to travel to other site projects if required
