Job summary

Mr Bagus Malaysia is seeking a responsible Site Coordinator to oversee carpentry and cabinetry installation works at project sites. The role connects sales/design, production, installers, clients, contractors, and management to ensure smooth progress from measurement to handover.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, communicative, and capable of managing site issues professionally, with willingness to travel to Kuching and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Mr Bagus is looking for a responsible and well-organized Site Coordinator to coordinate and monitor carpentry and cabinetry installation works at project sites. The Site Coordinator will act as the bridge between the sales/design team, production team, installers, clients, contractors, and management to ensure every project runs smoothly from site measurement to final handover.

This role is suitable for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, able to communicate clearly, and can manage site issues professionally.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Measurement & Site Checking

Attend project sites for measurement, site checking, and layout confirmation.

Check site conditions before production and installation, including walls, flooring, ceiling height, electrical points, plumbing points, and site readiness.

Identify site issues that may affect cabinet production or installation.

Take clear site photos, videos, and measurements for internal records.

Report any site discrepancies or potential problems to the sales/design/production team.

2. Project Coordination

Coordinate between clients, sales team, designers, production team, installers, and contractors.

Ensure all project information is properly communicated before production and installation.

Follow up on project progress and update management regularly.

Arrange and coordinate installation schedules with installers and clients.

Ensure installers understand the site requirements, drawings, and scope of work.

Be present on site when required to supervise or monitor installation works.

Ensure installation works follow approved drawings, measurements, and company standards.

Check workmanship quality, alignment, finishing, edging, hardware, doors, drawers, and accessories.

Assist in solving site issues during installation.

Record any defects, missing items, or additional work required.

4. Client & Contractor Communication

Communicate professionally with clients regarding site matters, installation progress, and minor issues.

Coordinate with main contractors, electricians, plumbers, tilers, and other site parties when needed.

Manage client expectations and elevate major issues to management when necessary.

Ensure all client instructions or changes are properly recorded and confirmed before proceeding.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare site measurement records, site photos, installation reports, and defect lists.

Update project status to the team and management.

Record variation works, additional requests, or site changes.

Ensure all important project information is properly filed and traceable.

Assist in preparing handover checklist after installation completion.

6. Quality Control & Handover

Conduct final checking after installation with installer and client when required.

Ensure defects or touch-up items are properly recorded and followed up.

Assist in project handover to client.

Ensure completed work meets Mr Bagus quality standards before final sign-off.

Requirements

Experience in carpentry, renovation, interior design, construction, or site coordination is preferred.

Fresh candidates with good attitude and willingness to learn may be considered.

Able to read basic drawings, measurements, and layout plans.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Able to work independently and handle site pressure.

Responsible, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented.

Must be willing to travel to project sites around Kuching and nearby areas.

Possess own transport and valid driving license.

Basic knowledge of cabinetry, carpentry, renovation, or interior fit-out work will be an advantage.
