Job summary

BEAKS CONSTRUCTION SDN. BHD. is seeking an Architecture Coordinator cum QAQC to supervise architectural works and monitor site construction, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

You will liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, prepare site reports, and support project teams across multiple sites. Responsibilities include coordinating architectural progress, QAQC submissions, shop drawings, and quality control plans, while tracking materials, methods, and documentation to support

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience in coordinating and monitoring site works in accordance with ISO requirements and contractual specifications is an advantage.
• Candidates with relevant working experience in construction sites will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, monitor and inspect architectural works progress at site.
• To assist the overall project implementation and site construction.
• Assist the project team in carrying out inspections, attending meetings, liaising with COW, client, and other administrative matters.
• To monitor trade contractor’s works on site – work sequence, method of construction and quality control.
• Liaise with trade contractors project managers, trade contractor supervisors to ensure successful completion of projects.
• Able to prepare and handle site co-ordination with sub-contractors for any new workers, logistics and daily site reports.
• To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by Project Manager and the Management.
• Able to monitor the usage of machinery, tools, material and manpower.
• To carry out calculation of quantity based on construction drawings.
• Assist in the preparation of proper record of site diary, site measurement, site record and site progress record, project claims.
• Recognize and solve potential problems on site with consultants, project team, trade contractors and clerk of work.
• Plan and prepare submission of material in compliance with the project’s requirement on all aspects of design, including criteria, detailed design, term of construction and contract procedures.
• Check and coordinate shop drawings and materials submissions.
• Involved in preparation of processing checklist (the checklist is for quality control plan).
• Assist Project Manager or Technical Manager on technical demonstration, excellence of technical quality data collection.
• To ensure accurately and timely technical submission and progress report submission to the client and consultant.
• To alert and assist Project Head on the contractual matter and compile the relevant technical and site documents accordingly.
• Participation in quality issue investigation, responsible for project quality issue corrective and preventive action, also responsible to compute the list for the item which failed in quality checking.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project members to provide assistance and technical support
• Prepare progress reports by collecting and summarizing information
• Proficient in technical proposal / method statement writing.
• Maintain control of all project documentation.
• To monitor and control all the forms & document as per standard requirements of site QAQC works.
• To prepare the monthly site QAQC report and present to the site meeting.
