Job summary

AEM Microtronics (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Simulation Engineer in Penang to advance CFD and structural analyses. You will build flow and thermal models, assess materials, and generate actionable design improvement recommendations. You will also manage simulation libraries and assist in R&D DOE activities.

The role includes mentoring junior engineers, coordinating experimental tests, and ensuring correlation between tests and simulations to improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Materials engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial experience, preferably in Semiconductor Industry.
• Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat transfer and structural mechanics.
• Proficient with ANSYS Fluent, Icepak and SolidWorks Simulation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CFD (Flow & Thermal) and Structural analysis models.
• Write simulation reports with suggestions for design improvement and optimisation.
• Create and manage the database of simulation model and material libraries for FEA/CFD.

Job description

Simulation Engineer position within the Engineering function of the AMM Business Unit. The role involves preparing CFD (Flow & Thermal) and Structural (Linear static, Nonlinear, and Vibration) analysis models, and writing simulation reports with suggestions for design improvement and optimisation.

Key responsibilities

Prepare CFD (Flow & Thermal) and Structural (Linear static, Nonlinear, and Vibration) analysis models

Write simulation reports with the suggestions for design improvement and optimisation

Create and manage the database of Simulation model library and material library for FEA/CFD

Involve in R&D activities by performing DOEs to improve the design performance and reliability

Guide and mentor junior engineers and Design engineers to perform some basic simulation

Conduct experimental testing and perform a correlation with Simulation data

Conduct internal trainings on FEA & CFD

Explore advanced simulation methodologies and open source tool to solve complex engineering problems

About you

Bachelor Degree in the field of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Materials engineering

Minimum 2 years of industrial experience preferably in Semiconductor Industry

Understanding of Engineering design and Fabrication process

Strong knowledge in Fluid Mechanics, Thermal & Heat transfer/Structural Mechanics/Strength of Materials

Familiar using Simulation tools such as ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS Icepak, SolidWorks Simulation

Proficient in using SolidWorks CAD tool

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Fluent in English verbal and written communication skills
