Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2–10 years of relevant Test Engineering experience.
• Hands-on with Teradyne UltraFLEX or Advantest 93K is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform post-silicon validation, silicon bring-up, testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis of circuit marginalities.
• Support product engineering and foundry manufacturing activities.
• Develop and debug test programs and bring them on relevant test hardware.
• Apply strong fundamentals in Test Engineering to develop and optimize test solutions.
• Develop or support test hardware, including multi-site functional test boards and probe cards.
• Perform test vector creation and/or conversion, where applicable.
• Develop and maintain test programs using C, C++, or VB.
• Work with Digital, Mixed Signal, and RF technology areas.
• Perform PVT characterization on digital interfaces, levels, and timing.

Test Engineer – Silicon Validation

Position Overview

Weare looking for talented Test Engineers – Silicon Validation to join ourengineering team in Penang. We have opportunities across multiple levels, from Engineerto Lead Engineer, with roles and responsibilities tailored to yourexperience, technical expertise, and career level.

Thedesignation will be aligned with the candidate’s experience and technicalbackground.

This role offers hands‑on exposure to post‑silicon validation,silicon bring‑up, test development, debugging, characterization, and productengineering within the semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform post-silicon validation, siliconbring‑up, testing, debugging, and root‑cause analysis of circuitmarginalities.
• Support product engineering and foundrymanufacturing activities.
• Develop and debug test programs and bring them upon the relevant test hardware.
• Apply strong fundamentals in Test Engineeringto develop and optimize test solutions.
• Develop or support test hardware,including multi-site functional test boards, probe cards, prober interfaceboards, and other supporting hardware, where applicable.
• Perform test vector creation and/or conversion,where applicable.
• Develop and maintain test programs usingprogramming environments such as C, C++, or VB.
• Work with one or more of the following technologyareas:
  • Digital – Structural and Functional
  • Mixed Signal – ADCs, DACs, PLLs, etc.
  • RF fundamentals
• Perform PVT characterization, particularlyfor digital interfaces, including levels and timing.
• Support correlation activities, including:
  • Site-to-site
  • Board-to-board
  • Tester-to-tester
  • Tester-to-bench
• Perform statistical data analysis,including SPC and GR&R calculations.
• Support test and process optimization, including testtime, test limits, and guard‑banding.
• Support and contribute to the productionrelease process.
• Provide post-production and sustaining productsupport.

Technical Requirements

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering,Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering,Network/IT Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–10 years of relevant Test Engineeringexperience is preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with Teradyne UltraFLEX orAdvantest 93K ATE is an advantage.
• Experience with 93K and/or UltraFLEX is anadded advantage.
• Good understanding of analog and digitalelectronics.
• Experience using bench instrumentation for ICcharacterization.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills,with a willingness to perform hands‑on work in a laboratory environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well ascollaboratively within a technical team.

Our laboratory infrastructure, including a 100K cleanroom, islocated within the NCER/NTIC building at Bayan Lepas FIZ Phase 4.
