Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc in Penang is seeking a Manufacturing Planner I focused on RMA operations, data administration, and cross-functional coordination to keep repair and logistics running smoothly. The role emphasizes KPI tracking, process improvement, and collaboration with CM, FSE, and sites.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and experience in supply chain, logistics, or repair operations, with knowledge of AI tools as a plus.

• Experience in supply chain, logistics, repair operations, or order management environments.
• Knowledge in AI related tools and able to use AI to improve current process.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete RMA lifecycle from logdown, repair, shipment, to closure.
• Monitor and track all RMA cases across multiple systems and trackers.
• Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of RMA records and status updates.
• Maintain and update RMA information in Syborg; perform SN-level data updates and validations.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies issues.
• Serve as the primary liaison between CM, FSE & Sites; coordinate resolution of data, inspection, and technical issues.
• Troubleshoot process and operational issues related to repairs and shipments; coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve exceptions.
• Escalate system defects and process gaps through appropriate IT support channels.
• Ensure adherence to RMA procedures, policies, and work instructions; validate shipment and repair documentation; maintain audit-ready records.
• Track repair progress with Contract Manufacturers; monitor defect reporting and corrective actions; support downstream decisions regarding replacement or scrap disposition.
• Monitor RMA KPIs, including turnaround time (TAT) and backlog performance; identify bottlenecks and drive automation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• 1. RMA Operations Management

• 2. System & Data Administration
  • Maintain and update RMA information in Syborg
  • Perform serial number (SN)-level data updates and validations.
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies issues
• 3. Stakeholder Coordination
  • Serve as the primary liaison between CM, FSE & Sites
  • Coordinate resolution of data, inspection, and technical issues affecting RMA processing.
• 4. Issue Management & Escalation
  • Troubleshoot process and operational issues related to repairs and shipments.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve exceptions.
  • Escalate system defects and process gaps through appropriate IT support channels.
• 5. Process Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure adherence to RMA procedures, policies, and work instructions.
  • Validate shipment and repair documentation accuracy.
  • Maintain audit-ready records and transaction traceability.
• 6. Repair & Logistics Coordination
  • Track repair progress with Contract Manufacturers.
  • Monitor defect reporting and corrective actions.
  • Support downstream decisions regarding replacement or scrap disposition.
• 7. Performance Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor RMA KPIs, including turnaround time (TAT) and backlog performance.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and process inefficiencies.
  • Drive automation, digitalization, and AI-enabled process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
