Job summary

Melaleuca Malaysia is seeking a Showroom Team Lead to deliver world class customer service and support the Showroom Manager in daily operations.

You will supervise showroom staff, ensure compliance with SOPs, manage cashiering, inventory, product displays and security, and step in as the person-in-charge when needed. Fluency in Bahasa Melayu and English is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail store operations.
• Experience handling customer inquiries and providing timely solutions.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Fluent in Bahasa Melayu and English.

Responsibilities

Showroom Team Lead is primarily responsible for providing World Class Customer Service to customers and assisting the Showroom Manager in managing the day to day operations of the showroom. The role reports directly to the Showroom Manager.

Support Showroom Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the showroom to ensure smooth, efficient and customer-focused operations at all times

Deliver excellent customer service in accordance with the Company’s service standards and ensure positive customer experience within the showroom

Assist in supervising and guiding showroom team members to ensure compliance with operational procedures, company policies and service expectations

Fully understand and ensure compliance with all showroom operational SOPs, including cashiering, inventory handling, stock movement, product display and security procedures

Possess strong knowledge of the Company’s mission, culture, products, promotions and operational standards to effectively support customers and team members

Perform retailing and cashiering duties when required, including strict adherence to all cash-handling and reconciliation SOPs

Monitor showroom inventory activities, including stock receiving, stock transfers, stock replenishment, inventory accuracy, cycle counts and coordination with Warehouse or relevant departments to ensure proper inventory control

Identify customer concerns or operational issues promptly and ensure appropriate solutions or escalation are carried out in a timely manner

Assist Showroom Manager in maintaining overall showroom standards, cleanliness, product merchandising and operational discipline among team members

Support onboarding and on-the-job coaching of new showroom employees to ensure proper understanding of operational processes and customer service expectations

Participate in projects, process improvement initiatives, stock-related activities and any other duties assigned by Management to improve showroom productivity, operational efficiency and inventory accuracy

Act as the person-in-charge of showroom operations and inventory matters in the absence of Showroom Manager whenever required.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in retail store operations
• Has experience handling customer enquiries and able to provide solutions to customer in a timely manner
• Customer-centric, proactive and analytical with strong sense of commitment towards highest standards of service
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Language proficiency (speak, read and write): Bahasa Melayu and English.

Education Requirements

• At least a Diploma in Retail Sales, Business Administration or any other related field.
