Job summary

The Branding People is a Malaysia-based digital marketing agency that crafts high-quality video content for brands across Southeast Asia. We’re seeking a Video Editor who can transform raw footage, animations, voiceovers, and creative ideas into scroll-stopping content that drives measurable results.

You will create 10 engaging short-form videos weekly for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other campaigns, using AI workflows and tools like Kling, Seedance and NanoBanana.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in short-form video editing or content creation
• Portfolio showing Facebook, Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts
• Proficiency in prompting and using AI video/image generators to produce lifelike, brand-safe UGC
• English and Mandarin fluency for multi-language content creation
• Creative thinker with interest in new content ideas and visual storytelling
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut; knowledge of After Effects, motion graphics, or AI tools is a plus
• Strong knowledge of social media trends and audience behavior

Responsibilities

• Create 10 engaging short-form videos per week for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other campaigns
• Generate AI video/image assets using Kling, Seedance, and NanoBanana
• Brainstorm hooks, story concepts, and pacing to drive engagement and results
• Edit videos with footage, motion graphics, captions, music and effects
• Iterate on viral trends using AI workflows to reduce production bottlenecks
• Collaborate with media buyers, designers and the creative team from storyboard to delivery
• Stay updated on social media platform best practices and AI editing tools

What You’ll Be Crafting

Create 10 engaging short-form videos per week for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other digital advertising campaigns.

Generate realistic AI video and image assets using industry-leading AI tools (Kling, Seedance, NanoBanana).

Brainstorm creative concepts, hooks, and storytelling ideas to produce scroll-stopping content that captures attention and drives results.

Edit high-performing videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, and other tools by combining footage, motion graphics, captions, music, and effects.

Iterate rapidly on viral short-form trends using AI workflows to reduce production bottlenecks.

Collaborate with media buyers, designers, and the creative team to turn campaign objectives into compelling video ads, from storyboarding to final delivery.

Stay up to date with social media trends, platform best practices, and AI-powered editing tools to continuously improve content performance.

Your Superpowers

1-2 years of experience in short-form video editing or content creation, with a portfolio showcasing Facebook, Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts.

Demonstrated technical proficiency in prompting and utilizing AI video/image generators (Kling, Seedance, NanoBanana) to achieve lifelike, brand-safe UGC.

Proficient in English and Mandarin to produce and edit short form content in respective languages.

A creative thinker who enjoys exploring new content ideas, hooks, and visual storytelling styles to create engaging, high-performing videos.

Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut; knowledge of After Effects, motion graphics, or AI-powered video tools is an advantage.

Strong understanding of social media trends, audience behaviour, and what makes content perform well on Meta and TikTok.

Able to manage multiple projects, meet weekly video output targets, and work collaboratively while being open to feedback and continuous learning.
