Job summary

STERIS in Malaysia is seeking a Material Handler to prepare, ship, and receive customer product, ensuring proper documentation and GDP compliance. The role may train and substitute for the supervisor when absent.

You will load and unload consignments, identify products, maintain accurate records, and help organize the warehouse to maximize space. English communication is required due to interactions with English-only employees and external partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload consignments from trucks and move goods within the factory.
• Identify and segregate products according to quality procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure documentation and records for each consignment are complete and GDP-compliant before release.
• Report any non-conformances found on products to the supervisor and hold as necessary.
• Assist in organizing the warehouse to maximise usable space and ensure consignments are clearly identified.
• Comply with company rules, QA procedures, and safety regulations.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices and perform reasonable tasks requested by supervisors.

Position Summary

Prepares, ships, and receives Customer product ensuring proper documentation. May perform the duties of Material Handler regarding the shipment documents. Ability to train and substitute for supervisor if she/he is not present.

Duties

• To load and unload consignment from truck and perform general movement of goods in factory.


• To identify and segregate products at all times as per quality procedures and work instruction.


• To ensure that document and record for each consignment is adequate, accurate and comply to Good Documentation Practice (GDP) prior release.


• To report any non-conformance found on products upon receipt, during storage, after processing and prior shipment to immediate supervisor and on hold as and when necessary.


• To assist in the organisation of the warehouse to maximise the useable space and ensure all batch of consignment to be processed or dispatched can be clearly identified.


• To comply fully to company rules, QA procedures and safety rules and regulations.


• To ensure good houskeeping practices are employed.


• To perform any reasonable request by superior in respect of the efficient running of the site.

Education Degree

High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

• Experience in Forklift handling – 1 years

This position requires knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties involved, including regular communications outside the province of Quebec, training, email communications, and frequent meetings and interactions with English- only employees.
