Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) Kedah facility in Kulim is seeking an experienced production leader to drive daily operations on the production floor. You will staff, train, and coach associates while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time production against schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations on the floor.
• Staffing and training plans within the department.
• Provide timely feedback to associates.
• Coach associates to meet higher expectations.
• Implement BD Excellence programs within manufacturing.
• Maintain open communication between production and management.
• Ensure fair application of policies.
• Resolve employee relations issues with HR involvement.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Execute production planning and schedule adherence.
• Track production metrics and report progress.
• Review and sign off on reports, documents, and HR records.
• Escalate quality/process/equipment/labor issues per pathway.
• Deliverables: meet quality and objectives, develop high-performing team.
• Other duties as required.

Ensure all Safety, Health and Environment guidelines are followed in all production departments. Promptly address any safety issues or incidents.2. Spend a minimum of 75% of time on production floor leading associates.3. Responsible for staffing and training plans within the department.4. Provide regular, timely, and specific feedback to associates.5. Provide a learning environment and challenge associates to meet higher expectations.6. Implement BD Excellence components and programs within the manufacturing unit7. Ensure an open flow of communication exists between production associates and management. Represent concerns of production associates to management, as well as management concerns to production associates.8. Ensure fair and consistent application of company and departmental policies and practices. Works with associates to resolve employee relations issues and concerns; involves HR when needed.9. Actively participate and support continuous improvement activities.10. Execute People and Production Planning to establish production schedules, monitor performance versus schedule for the department.11. Track production metrics to ensure that department goals are being met. Communicates these metrics and progress to associates and management.12. Lead daily production operations.13. Ensure that all reports/documents/DHRs/charts are reviewed and signed off.14. Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials, and labor to Cell Leader according to the TM Escalation Pathway.15.
