Job summary

Hitachi Energy Service is seeking a Service Sales Specialist to drive growth across HV service offerings in Malaysia. You will develop opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and promote service solutions for HV equipment including transformers, GIS, and AIS.

Collaborate with engineering and service teams to deliver customer-focused outcomes, present technical and commercial proposals, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales, service sales, or business development in the power/electrical/energy sector.
• Knowledge of High Voltage equipment including transformers, GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear), and AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear).
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel across Malaysia and region for customer engagements.
• Able to understand technical specifications and communicate technical solutions clearly.

We are looking for a Service Sales Specialist to drive sales growth across our High Voltage (HV) Service business. In this role, you will develop new business opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and promote service solutions for HV equipment, including transformers, GIS, and AIS systems. You will collaborate closely with technical and service teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and contribute to the growth of our service business across Malaysia.

Your Background

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales, service sales, or business development within the power, electrical, or energy industry.
• Knowledge of High Voltage equipment, particularly transformers, GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear), and AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear).
• Proven ability to develop customer relationships and identify new sales opportunities.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to understand technical specifications and communicate technical solutions effectively.
• Self-motivated team player with a customer-focused mindset.
• Willingness to travel across Malaysia and occasionally within the region for customer engagements.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in utility, power transmission, service, or electrical infrastructure industries.
• Knowledge of lifecycle service solutions, maintenance, retrofit, upgrade, or asset management services for HV equipment.
• Existing network within utilities, industrial customers, or energy sector stakeholders.
