Job summary

Hop Shing Generator Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support maintenance teams on projects, including replacement of obsolete technology and modifications to existing controls for improved process control, reliability, safety and OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to maintenance on projects and replace obsolete technology.
• Modify existing controls for improved process control, reliability, safety and OSHA compliance.
• Update electrical prints, PLC programs, and operator interface software for documentation.
• Design electrical and electronic control and communication systems for production equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation maintenance issues and document accordingly.
• Coordinate installation of electrical equipment by contractors and plant personnel to meet schedules.
• Deliver electrical, mechanical and fabric maintenance for client sites.

This role involves providing assistance to maintenance teams on maintenance-related projects, including replacement of obsolete technology and modifications to existing controls for improved process control, reliability, safety and compliance with OSHA requirements. You will design electrical and electronic control and communication systems for production equipment, troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation maintenance issues, and coordinate the installation of electrical equipment by contractors and plant personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assistance to Maintenance on maintenance related projects
• Replace obsolete technology for which replacement parts are difficult or impossible to obtain
• Modify existing controls for improved process control, reliability, safety and compliance with OSHA requirements
• Update and archive electrical prints, PLC programs, and operator interface software necessary for the documentation of projects that have gone into production
• Design electrical and electronic control and communication systems for production equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation maintenance issues and complete appropriate documentation
• Coordinate the installation of electrical equipment by contractors and plant personnel to meet scheduled completion dates
• Carry out the effective delivery of electrical, mechanical and fabric maintenance to both plant equipment and building equipment on the Client's sites

About you

• BS Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in electrical maintenance
• Broad-based, hands on knowledge and experience with various types of instrument and electrical systems, equipment and software
