Job description

This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career talents who are interested in SEO and willing to be trained.

As a SEO Trainee, you will support the SEO team in growing organic traffic from Baidu. You will assist with keyword research, content optimisation, internal linking and basic website optimisation, while learning how to use Baidu tools and SEO data.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with keyword research, content optimisation and internal link structuring for Baidu SEO.
• Help to monitor indexing, rankings and basic SEO issues.
• Support the writing and optimisation of SEO articles, page titles and meta descriptions.
• Assist with external link publishing, basic on-site optimisation tasks and data collection / report preparation.
• Follow established SEO processes and documentation, and work closely with senior team members for guidance.

Requirements

• Strong interest in SEO and search engines; no prior experience required, training will be provided.
• Good written communication skills in Mandarin, careful, responsible and process-oriented. "We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers."
• Familiarity with Baidu search or prior content writing experience is an advantage.
• Suitable for fresh graduates or early-career candidates; candidates with computer science / IT background and strong logical thinking are preferred.
• Fluent in Mandarin (reading & writing), as daily work and communication are mainly in Chinese.

Nice to Have (Bonus)

• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS, website structure or CMS.
• Basic knowledge of PHP or any scripting language is an advantage, especially for understanding templates and simple on-site changes.
