Job summary

FastLaneRecruit is seeking a Xero Accountant for our Sydney-based client, a professional business services firm supporting growth through financial expertise and strategic advisory. You will deliver accounting, tax and advisory services while mentoring junior team members.

You will work with larger clients, complex structures, and high-net-worth individuals, collaborating with Malaysian and Australian teams. The role starts onsite for the first 2–3 months.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience in a client servicing role.
• Proven experience working with Xero accounting software.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, activity statements, bookkeeping, and related workpapers for clients across various industries
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and strong attention to detail while minimizing rework
• Apply technical knowledge to improve client outcomes and take on increasingly complex tasks
• Communicate professionally and promptly with team members to support efficient service delivery
• Identify value-added opportunities to better support clients
