seeks an experienced upholsterer to read furniture drawings, specifications and upholstery details, performing foam shaping, sewing, wrapping and installation on furniture. You will ensure correct dimensions, alignment, stitching, tension and finishing, inspect furniture for quality defects and troubleshoot upholstery, foam and frame-related issues, coordinating with carpentry and QC teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in sofa and loose-furniture upholstery.
• Ability to work with fabric, leather and PU materials.
• Skilled in foam cutting and shaping.
• Proficient in sewing and upholstery construction.
• Able to interpret shop drawings and production specifications.
• Good knowledge of furniture construction.
• Able to lead a small upholstery team independently.

Responsibilities

• Read furniture drawings, specifications and upholstery details
• Prepare and cut fabric, leather, foam and other upholstery materials
• Perform professional foam shaping, sewing, wrapping and upholstery installation
• Ensure correct dimensions, alignment, stitching, tension and finishing
• Inspect completed furniture for quality defects
• Troubleshoot upholstery, foam and frame-related issues
• Coordinate with carpentry, production planning and QC teams
• Minimize material wastage and improve production efficiency
• Ensure work follows company SOP, quality standards and safety requirements
