Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Art, Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience drafting commercial contracts and negotiating terms with external parties.
• Exposure to financial services and/or re/insurance industry is favorable.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage timelines, stay organized, be detail-oriented and independent.
• Prior managerial experience is preferred.
• Discretion in handling confidential information.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and contract management systems.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex reinsurance treaties and related contractual documentation.
• Evaluate treaties prepared by clients and resolve differences to ensure issues are addressed.
• Ensure protection of RGA’s interests and regulatory compliance through negotiation and timely completion of documents.
• Stay informed on market knowledge, treaty standards and regulatory developments.
• Lead junior treaty specialists and manage their performance and development.
• Maintain relationships with clients and internal departments to resolve issues and implement best practices.
• Monitor outstanding documents and support reporting to management.
• Lead process improvements in contract lifecycle management and governance.
• Represent Treaty in compliance reviews and regional/global initiatives.
