Job summary

TECAN CDMO Solutions Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to oversee customs applications, HS classifications, CO certifications, and license renewals in Malaysia. You will conduct cost analyses, manage regulatory submissions, and support import/export activities across suppliers and customers.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree with 5 years of experience and deep knowledge of Malaysian customs, MITI procedures, and FTAs. Strong analytical and compliance mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Familiar with TC processes and documentation
• Experience using planning systems and intranet tools
• Understanding of Malaysia customs and MITI rules
• Knowledge of cost analysis, origin determinations and FTAs
• Ability to ensure import/export compliance and regulatory adherence

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit Customs general applications (GPB 1/2, AM 1/2)
• Submit Customs monthly reports (M1, M2, M4; SUBCON & VAA)
• Register and maintain HS Code classifications
• Manage certificates of origin (preferential/non-preferential)
• Conduct cost analysis for new and existing products
• Manage licenses renewals (LMW, MICCI, Subcon, VAA, MIDA)
• Perform on-site visits to MITI, MICCI, FMM, MIDA
• Handle RFQ and monthly transportation billing
• Manage external warehouse billing
• Respond to import/export inquiries from customers/suppliers/carriers
• Maintain trade compliance procedures and systems (SmartGPB, Dagang.Net, SIRIM, MySST)
• Additional duties as assigned
