Job summary

AIA Shared Services in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, is seeking a Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) specialist to guide risk controls across due diligence, regulatory compliance, data privacy, and business continuity. The role also transforms complex data into insightful BI visualizations, supporting high-priority strategic initiatives.

You will manage core reporting cycles, perform data extraction, and develop dashboards (Power BI).

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in an insurance or financial institution, preferably in Transformation Project management, Third Party management, and/or Sourcing.
• Working knowledge of SAP/Ariba systems is highly desirable.
• Highly effective communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging a diverse stakeholder group.
• Proficient in driving stakeholder buy‑in and influencing practice change.
• Attention to detail, self‑starter with excellent interpersonal skills; capable of communicating effectively at all organizational levels.
• Strong ability to navigate a matrix‑style environment independently whilst prioritizing competing deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of PC skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Pivot Table, Power BI reporting is an advantage).
• Professional Third Party Risk Management qualification and/or membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) is desirable but not essential.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Policy & Governance: support implementation and maintenance of the Operational Risk and TPRM governance frameworks to ensure robust policy compliance.
• Risk Oversight: review, challenge, and report on the organization’s operational risk profile, ensuring alignment with third‑party risk appetite.
• Incident Monitoring: monitor material incidents, key risk indicators (KRIs), and control weaknesses to proactively mitigate emerging operational and vendor risks.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: partner with First Line (1LoD) SMEs and Third Line (Internal Audit) functions to ensure comprehensive management of the third‑party ecosystem.
• Materiality Assessment: facilitate and challenge Materiality Assessments to ensure data quality and completeness in the classification of critical third‑party engagements.
• Strategic Risk Review: evaluate new initiatives, products, and projects from a risk perspective to safeguard the firm’s strategic objectives and supply chain integrity.
• Data Integrity: extract, clean, and validate complex datasets from internal systems to maintain high levels of data integrity for risk reporting.
